I’m Levi Morrison, and I’ve been chasing the next big story in crypto since 2016. My journey started at Columbia University, where I earned my degree in Economics with a minor in Computer Science. While my classmates were aiming for Wall Street, I was already deep in the Bitcoin rabbit hole, convinced that blockchain technology would reshape finance as we knew it.
After graduation, I cut my teeth as a financial journalist at Reuters, covering traditional markets during the day and writing about emerging cryptocurrencies at night. By 2018, I made the leap to full-time crypto journalism, joining CoinDesk as a senior reporter. There, I covered everything from the 2017 bull run aftermath to the rise of DeFi and NFTs, interviewing everyone from Ethereum developers to exchange founders.
I’ve witnessed three market cycles, countless project launches, and more “Ethereum killers” than I can count. What keeps me going is the technology’s potential to create genuine financial inclusion. When I’m not editing stories or diving into whitepapers, you’ll find me at blockchain conferences or experimenting with new protocols on testnets.
I believe great crypto journalism requires both technical understanding and skepticism. Too many outlets either hype everything or dismiss it all. At BoostUp Crypto, we’re building something different—a publication that celebrates innovation while calling out the nonsense.
